What we teach
Six Principles in Play connect physical, social, emotional and early learning skills.
Every Playball activity is designed to develop more than a sporting skill. Movement, thinking, confidence and connection are part of the same experience.

As children repeat and master movement skills, they gain the attention and confidence to explore more complex tasks, decisions and interactions.
That is why every Playball activity has a clear developmental purpose, linking physical skills with focus, communication and social interaction.

The Playball Method brings together three related components: what activities teach, how coaches deliver them and what outcomes children can work towards.

Playball favours a broad and transferable foundation rather than early specialisation. Children have opportunities to practise different movement challenges at their own pace.
Trying a range of sports and movement patterns helps children discover what they enjoy, builds all-round coordination and keeps every session fresh and motivating.
The activities develop with children from ages 2–8. In later stages, children start applying movement skills within multiple sport contexts.
Each stage builds on the last, so children are always challenged at the right level and can see their own progress over time.

A connected approach that helps each child find their place in the group.

Participation is inclusive, supported and responsive to the children in front of us.
Confidence, Competence, Communication, Capability and Character.
Feel comfortable giving a new activity a go.
Develop listening, sharing and positive group interaction.
Apply growing skills at school, in sport and everyday life.
The same foundations children practise at Playball can support how they participate in school routines, friendships, physical activities and everyday challenges.
Waiting for a turn, following an instruction or trying something new are small moments that matter, and children practise them in every Playball session.

Choose the pathway that best fits your children or your service.

We believe movement can help children grow confident, connected and ready for what comes next. Learn more about our people and purpose.
From early learning centres to primary schools and local communities, our coaches bring the same purposeful, inclusive approach to every session.
