Holiday Camps

Playball Happy Campers

Playball camps are designed to keep children active, off screens, and provide a safe and nurturing environment where children can be themselves.

Playball coaches are skilled in communication, listening, collaboration, adaptability, empathy and patience and use these skills to create a structured and fun learning environment.

Our Camp Program

Please note that Camp programs may vary slightly in different locations.  Regardless, all Playball camps aim to keep children engaged with fun, active sports and modified games.  We do this in a safe, non-competitive environment where our focus is to build connections, confidence, communication and cooperation skills.

Depending on the length of the program, children participate in a variety of group activities that may include active sports, fun games, art & crafts, cooking, drama and invited entertainers or shows.

With our camps running over multiple days children will never complain that they’re bored as they get to try something new every day!

Even though we have a planned schedule, we make sure to include blocks of free play during the day.

Camp Schedule Options

Most locations will offer two options.  Be sure to check the camp flyer for your location as start and end times may vary.

  • Half Day  9:00am - 12:30pm
  • Full Day 9:00am - 3:00pm

A Typical Day at Camp

  • Registration

Registration is our checking in process where your child’s arrival for the day will be noted.  We use this time to confirm important information for example the “emergency contact” for the day and note the following information :

    • if a child will be collected by someone other than a parent
    • confirm any allergies or requirements, medical and other
    • child’s emotional state at drop off
    • first time campers
  • Starting the Day

The Playball camp day starts off with free  play, allowing children to familiarise themselves with others in their group and the coaches who will be with them for the day.

The camp manager will get all the children together for the camp brief.  This is designed to help children settle, feel safe and give them the plan for the day so that they have an idea of what to expect.  The camp manager will also go over the camp guidelines and important rules that need to be followed to ensure safety throughout the day.

  • Morning Session

Children will play a variety of different fun and team-building games and activities (arts & crafts, cooking, drama, shows) in their groups.  We schedule time for drinks and snacks ensuring your child stays hydrated and has energy for the day.

Please note that we operate a NO NUT policy across all our holiday camp locations and encourage healthy choices.

  • Lunch

The children all eat lunch together.  Please ensure you pack a nutritious lunch for your child with enough options and food that they enjoy.

  • Half Day Campers - End of Day

At the end of a happy and exciting day "Half Day Campers" will be waiting for you with all their belongings, ready to be signed out.  Our camp manager will be available to talk to parents.

  • Afternoon Session

Children will play a variety of different fun and team-building games and activities (arts & crafts, cooking, drama, shows) in their groups.  We schedule time for drinks and snacks ensuring your child stays hydrated and has energy for the day.

  • End of Day

All children are signed out at the end of the day.  The camp manager is available to chat to parents and provide feedback on the days activities and program.

Coaches and Staff

The camp manager is responsible for all children and staff on the day.  Our staff are all reliable and responsible and hand picked for their ability to work with children.  Playball prides itself with always having a good coach to child ratio, another way we are able to keep children safe and happy.
