Children’s Active Wellbeing Program for Services & Schools

Partner with Playball to create teaching & learning environments that enable children to be healthy, confident, engaged and successful

Playball is a unique early education program that uses physical education as a powerful tool to enhance children’s overall wellbeing, inclusion, and learning outcomes.

Delivered on-site at your early learning service or school, Playball offers tailored programs for children aged 2–5 years, as well as school-aged children from 6–8 years. Each session is led by trained coaches who scaffold learning through structured, active play — fostering confident, involved learners.

By partnering with Playball, you give your children access to a professional physical education program that lays the foundation for healthy development across all areas of life, while supporting your educators in delivering high-quality, inclusive practice.

Promoting the following standards:

Wellbeing

The program nurtures social, emotional and executive function skills by inviting children to manage big feelings, focus attention, remember rules and persist with physically and cognitively challenging tasks.

Cooperative challenges and small-group activities foster positive peer relationships, empathy and a strong sense of capability and agency in each child.

Communication

Playball sessions are deliberately designed to grow children’s language, early literacy and numeracy through movement-based learning.

Children follow and give instructions, use rich vocabulary to describe actions and spaces, and explore early counting, comparison and patterning within games, supporting both comprehension and expressive communication.

Access, inclusion & participation

Playball is built on the principle that every child can take part meaningfully, regardless of background, ability or prior experience.

Activities are adapted so all children can experience success, with routines, visuals and flexible task levels that encourage regular engagement, reduce barriers, and promote a strong sense of belonging for those who may be more vulnerable or at risk of missing out.

Benefits to Children

Children develop essential physical literacy skills such as balance, coordination, and spatial awareness. They also build confidence, resilience, and teamwork abilities through enjoyable, active learning experiences. These skills support their social, emotional, and physical development, creating a strong foundation for lifelong health and wellbeing.

Benefits to Educators

Playball offers educators a unique lens through which to observe children’s growth, confidence, and engagement in movement-based learning. By watching Playball kids participate, educators gain valuable insights into each child’s ways of learning and interacting.

Our coaches inspire and motivate both children and educators through their energy, expertise, and enthusiasm—modelling effective strategies and offering ongoing support that strengthens inclusive, intentional teaching practices across the program.
